Harley, my friend and I were wanting to go on his quod bike. 30 minutes later we got to go for the ride we were waiting for. My friend went first, I went second....Then it was Harley's turn. Once he sat on the bike and slammed on the gas! All of a sudden he was pulling a wheelie on two wheels. Crash! He was stunned as he drove into the vege garden and through the fence on one wheel, Then he lost control of the bike it was destroyed!
It wasn't winter and it wasn't Sumer and it wasn't Autumn and there was no expected snow. By the time I got to school there was about a foot of snow and school was not closed. By morning tea there was about two feet of snow, that is when school closed but we couldn't get out because there was about three feet of snow in the front of the glass door. I thought it was a good idea to run and police shoulder barge the glass door. the glass instantly cracked into little tiny pieces. After that we tapped the glass to make it fall out. The we shovelled the glass and snow off to one side and climed out. Finally we were free!

Swing away

The advantages of having a swing bridge was that it swing from side to side and it wouldn't break. It was designed to hold people who are hiking. It was also a good design because it had good colours.
I didn't get enough time to finish It and because It wasn't finished it looked weird.

Cultural Festival
On the 4th of September Burnham school attended the 30th Anniversy Cultural Festival. At 11:00 am the whole of Burnham School got on three Buses and went to the CBS Arena ready to perform. Just before we performed, we got dressed and ready to go. While we were waiting back stage we had to be quiet while the other schools did their performances. I felt excited but nervous inside. When we walked on stage it looked like there was no crowd, just cheering coming from the darkness. We were in position and everything went quiet, Joseph burst out into the strong start of our Haka. The lights felt hot and I felt sticky all over. I was amazed at the powerful sound of our Haka. Our performance was amazing. Next was the girls turn. I thought they were astonishing. I like how they handled their poi, much better than in the practices. Our song 'Reach for the Stars' was perfect. At the end, the crowd cheered and cheered like there was no tomorrow. The lights dimmed and we walked off the stage. We were so excited and felt like we did Burnham School proud. It was time to take off our puipuis amd go back to our seats to watch the rest of the show. I thought the other schools were very precise with their actions but ours was 100%. My whole day was awesome. Im looking forward to doing it all over again next year.

My Speech
I wrote my speech on the first car to be imported into New Zealand. I enjoyed learning about this. My speech started with my Mihi. It was tricky as I didn't have a copy to practice with my speech. I felt I chose a really good topic for my speech. The class said I did the following things well, I spoke clearly, had good eye contact and excellent content. The class wished next time I used more expression and sped up my pace. Next time I deliver a speech I will ask a partner to check that I'm saying my words correctly.
